Frank advises and audits the clients product Tariff classification information/data bases for accuracy and needed changes due to recent changes in the Regulations from the federal agencies that regulate international trade, including, among others, the Department of Homeland Security, US Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Department of Commerce, the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS), and the Department of State, Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC.
Prior to joining Braumiller Law Group,PLLC, Frank was a member of the Nokia Global Trade Compliance Team for the Americas (North/South, Canada, and Mexico). Also assisting on projects from Corporate Trade Compliance office in Finland. Specialization in Import/Export Classification.
Leadership
Throughout his career, Frank has worked on many notable projects. Among them, he assisted Finland on justification of global classification of “Cellular phones” approval by the European Union. He also received a commendation from the U.S. Customs and Border Protection officer in charge of the Nokia account for 100% on an audit of classifications.
Credentials
Frank has more than 30 years of experience as an Engineer at Texas Instruments, which provides a broad knowledge base to better understand the products, construction and uses that require classification. He has worked in trade compliance for nearly 15 years.
He studied Electrical Engineering at The University of Texas (Arlington, Texas) and holds associate’s degrees in computer science and accounting. Frank is also a member of the International Compliance Professionals Association (ICPA).
