Well known within the trade community as an expert, Robert Stein has over 34 years of experience in regulatory compliance, customs brokerage, freight forwarding, and consulting. With a very broad base of trade experience, he is an expert in import and export compliance, Foreign Trade Zones (FTZ), Duty Drawback, HTS classification, and USMCA & other free trade agreements. Robert started his career on the Northern Border as a release agent before becoming a classification and NAFTA specialist at John V Carr in Buffalo. While working in Boston and JFK airport, Robert was able to expand his knowledge of ocean and air imports, as well as FDA. He took on the task of training all JFK and Newark employees on FDA compliance for AEI Radix. Since then, he has consistently developed and delivered training internally and externally for every broker/forwarder for whom he has worked. Robert joined Braumiller Consulting Group after 17 years at Mohawk Global where he was the driving force behind import and export compliance.

Megan Mohler helps clients on a wide range of international trade-related issues. Her areas of practice focus on import laws and export controls, navigating Trade Promotion Authority actions, representing companies before several governmental agencies, including U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Department of Commerce’s Bureau of Industry and Security, Department of Commerce, U.S. Census Bureau, and Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Controls.

Megan assists companies with various import compliance matters, including advising on and filing Section 301 and 232 exclusion requests, writing briefs before the Court of International Trade, free trade agreement qualifications (e.g., NAFTA), responding to CBP inquiries, filing protests, classification reviews, submitting CBP ruling requests, tariff mitigation strategies, country of origin determinations, foreign trade zone issues, and assisting companies in Customs audits. She also has experience in conducting internal investigations related to prior disclosures to U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

Eliza is a proficient, highly motivated trade compliance professional leveraging twenty plus years of international business and trade experience for her clients. Whether working with import or export operations, classifications or audits, the ever-changing environment and supporting clients through the complex world of import and export compliance is Eliza’s passion.

An accomplished auditor, trainer, and advisor, Eliza conducts export/import audits, risk assessments, training, compliance program design and implementation, identifies areas of opportunity, and develops corrective actions for her clients.

Eliza’s vast US import skills include Harmonized Tariff Schedule classifications, entry audits, record-keeping, anti-dumping and countervailing duties (ADD/CVD) determination, valuation, assists, free trade agreements qualifications, section 301 applicability, prior disclosures, and Customs audit preparations.
