Bruce Leeds, Senior Counsel, Braumiller Law Group

Bruce has decades of experience in international trade law and has successfully served his clients in diverse capacities, from classification and due diligence, to ITAR compliance and drawback. He has significant expertise with importing and exporting high tech products.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Bruce was an Import Specialist at the U.S. Customs Service in Los Angeles for seven years. During this period, he was promoted to Team Leader at LAX. Bruce then joined Hughes Aircraft Company, where he worked in various positions related to import and export compliance. He went on to Hughes Space & Communications Company and The Boeing Company – all in export and import compliance positions. Bruce served on the Commercial Operations Advisory Committee to CBP and the Private Sector Advisory Group at the World Customs Organization. He holds a customs broker license and is a U.S. Army veteran.

Brenda graduated from the Universidad Autonoma de San Luis Potosi. She also holds an L.L.M. degree in International Trade from the University of Texas at Austin, and is currently pursuing a PH.D. in Customs and Foreign Trade Law from the Centro Universitario de Estudios Juridicos.
Brenda holds a certification in International Negotiations from the Colegio de Mexico, an introduction to American Law from the University of Pennsylvania, and a certification in the Trade Facilitation Agreement regarding Rules of Origin from the World Trade Organization. She is also currently pursuing a certification in Foreign Trade and Customs Operations at the ITAM.
Brenda has been involved in Mexican Customs and trade matters since 1994 in the following areas: classification ruling requests, NOMs, import/export procedures, NAFTA/USMCA origin verifications proceedings, rules of origin, IMMEX compliance, foreign investment, and incorporation procedures, among other related topics.
Brenda is also a Perito Dictaminador Traductor (Authorized Witness Expert Translator) from the State Government of San Luis Potosi.
